A sampling of some of my graphic design work from the last few years.
Created for symphonic band concert. Concept derived from the title of one of their pieces, G.F. Handel's "Water Music"
Created for a production of John Cariani's Almost, Maine. The design was made in collaboration with Jackie Taishoff, a student with Down Syndrome. The design is comprised of several of Jackie's interpretations of the outline of Maine. In this way, the design takes the form of being "almost" Maine.
Circle Mirror Transformation
Created for a production of Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation. The design was made in collaboration with Jackie Taishoff, a student with Down Syndrome. The design is a simple circle. Blue was chosen as a symbol of transformation, evoking the idea of metamorphosis and change via water.
I Sing Because I'm Free
Created for a choir concert on the theme of freedom. The photo was taken on a recent performance tour that the choir had taken of South Carolina.
Created for a production of The Wiz. This was the first time that the school had actually chosen a play with the intent of casting a student of color in the lead role––we were trying to encourage non-white students to audition for the musical. This poster design put Dorothy front and center.
A Boy Was Born
Created for a choir Christmas concert. The theme of the concert centered around the birth of Jesus. Lettering created in collaboration with a student.
Stories We Tell
Created for a choir concert. The theme of the concert centered around storytelling.
Created for a production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. For this production, we chose to go with a series of character posters. Each character is holding an iconic or symbolic prop.
